Accessibility Statement

Alba Srl is committed to making this website as accessible and usable as possible for everyone, regardless of ability or the technology used.

Accessibility is an ongoing process: for this reason, we regularly monitor the website using automated tools and technical checks in order to identify and correct any issues.

This statement describes our approach and our current level of compliance with the main international reference standards (WCAG 2.1 – Level AA).

Current Compliance Status

The website is undergoing continuous improvement.

Some elements may not yet be fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Non-compliant areas are listed in the Accessibility Report automatically generated by our assessment system.

Assessment Methodology

As required by EU Implementing Decision 2018/1523, the assessment is carried out through:

  • periodic automated analysis performed using a tool based on Google Lighthouse / PageSpeed Insights;
  • manual technical checks on the main pages of the website carried out by Alba Srl;
  • progressive manual assessments.

Commitment to Improvement

We are constantly committed to updating the website, correcting identified non-compliance issues and optimising the browsing experience for everyone.

Updates are planned and implemented on the basis of the annual report and the reports received.

The critical areas identified are listed below, together with the relevant reasons.

1. Disproportionate burden

Full adaptation of certain parts of the website would involve excessive organisational, financial and technical burdens in relation to the resources currently available. Alba Srl nevertheless remains committed to progressively improving accessibility.

2. Third-party content

Some elements, such as maps, external widgets and embedded content, are provided by third parties and cannot be modified directly by the website owner. We are committed to seeking alternative solutions and notifying providers of the need for improvements.

Feedback and contact information

Main WCAG criteria not fully met

  1. Names and labels

    Some links do not have a distinguishable or sufficiently descriptive accessible name.
    This may make it difficult for screen reader users to understand the destination or purpose of the link.
  2. Colour contrast

    In some sections, the contrast ratio between text and background does not meet the minimum WCAG requirements.
    This may reduce the readability of the content, particularly for users with low vision or visual impairments.
  3. Accessibility best practices

    The <meta name="viewport"> tag limits page zoom functionality (user-scalable="no" or maximum-scale lower than 5), reducing users’ ability to enlarge content.
    Some interactive elements (touch targets) are too small or too close together, making interaction difficult on touch devices.
    Some identical links do not clearly communicate the same purpose to users of assistive technologies.
  4. Navigation and semantic structure

    The heading hierarchy (H1-H6) does not always follow a correct sequential order.
    An inconsistent heading structure may make it more difficult to understand the page structure and navigate using a screen reader or keyboard.
  5. Recommended manual checks

    The automated analysis also identified 10 checks requiring manual assessment, including:
    • complete keyboard navigation;
    • focus management and tab order;
    • quality of image alternative text;
    • correct labelling of form fields;
    • appropriate use of landmarks and ARIA regions;
    • behaviour of dynamic components;
    • clarity of error messages;
    • consistency of the reading order;
    • use with screen readers;
    • overall assessment of compliance with WCAG criteria that cannot be detected automatically.

Improvement plan

Alba Srl is committed to:

  • Scheduling priority actions for the issues listed.
  • Monitoring third-party content and requesting improvements from providers whenever possible.

Additional information on accessibility support systems

We are integrating the Iubenda WayWidget accessibility widget to provide users with additional tools for personalising their browsing experience. This module allows users to adapt the website to their needs by improving readability, managing contrast, changing text size and enabling other useful features, thereby making the user experience more inclusive.

The widget is a complementary support tool for the website’s technical accessibility improvements and does not replace ongoing assessment, correction and improvement activities carried out in accordance with the WCAG/AgID guidelines.
